Victorian Jewelry on a Budget

If the upcoming Mother’s Day celebration has inspired you to purchase a gorgeous Victorian jewel for the mom in your life, Peter Suchy Jewelers has an inventory for any taste. Yet what do you do when you are also on a strict budget? No problem! We have put together a collection of our most beautiful pieces that are perfect for the shopper on a budget. When you want vintage Victorian jewelry under $1,000, we have the pieces you simply have to see.

Hand-textured Victorian Bar Pin with Diamonds

Artisans created this elegant pin right around 1900. It displays 14k pink and green gold in a leaf texturing and frame. Five old-mine full-cut diamonds weigh a collective .15cts and bring sparkle to the piece. This attractive pin measures 50mm in length and 4.5mm in width. Wear it on a blouse or with a shawl.

1870s Gold Locket Pin with Diamond

We believe that this 15k yellow gold pin comes from England. We estimate that artisans created it in the 1870s. It displays a stunning example of gold granulation. Turn over this piece and notice a removable frame that allows you to insert a lock of hair or a photo. In the middle of the pin, you find a round diamond that weighs .05cts. This jewel is simply gorgeous.

Pierced Filigree Gold Ring with Amethyst

Dating back to 1900, the ring starts with a 14k green gold setting. Look closely, and you notice the pierced filigree work that beautifies it. The real showstopper is the oval amethyst that weighs in at 2.40cts. Although you might expect the purple hue, this stone actually also presents with a pink influence. This is a truly wonderful ring for special occasions.

Victorian Shell Pin

We date this rare pin to the 1850s. It features three translucent shells with brown centers. Each shell sits in a 12k expertly worked pink gold frame that connects to the other frames with pink gold as well. If you only look at one Victorian jewel for Mother’s Day today, make it this one.
